Reporting to the Recruiting Manager seated in St. Louis, you will join a dispersed recruiting team working in markets covering an 8-state central U.S. region. To limit exposure, personnel in Kansas City are working a rotating A/B shift, meaning half the team is in the office one day while the other half works remotely, and then they switch. When it's safe to do so again, we will work primarily in the office.

As Recruiter, you will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting -- initial interview through background and drug checks, hiring and onboarding -- primarily to fill a continuous demand for Field Security Officers. Your mission will be to actively support the office’s hiring needs by locally assisting with open houses and other hiring events, connecting with outreach organizations, and interviewing applicants previously screened by the HR Centralized team. Daily responsibilities may include managing interviews scheduled by the HR Centralized team (to replace employee turnover and staff new contracts), assisting in enhancing applicant flow, administering the hiring/termination process, maintaining personnel records, ensuring background investigations are completed, requesting on-boarding packages, and requesting the posting of openings.

You’ll schedule and track sourcing and interviewing activities through our Applicant Tracking System, and ensure the appropriate records are kept to meet compliance with state and federal laws, including OFCCP compliance, as well as union requirements, where applicable. Through all of this, you’ll ensure your supervisors remain informed of the hiring situation, and that you have a good understanding of need so you can stay on top of the hiring process and meet recruitment and hiring targets. Quick question for you - click here

Some of your specific tasks will be to:
  • Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements; interview applicants on a consistent set of qualifications.
  • Develop and implement proactive, local market recruiting campaigns to maintain an adequate qualified applicant pool.
  • Propose and implement ongoing improvements to recruitment efforts by applying a wide range of experience on current external recruiting policies, practices and trends.
  • Participate in the local hiring efforts of security personnel for start-ups for various local and national contracts.
  • Recommend actions to take in the local market to increase applicant flow into the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Actively seek out viable applicants by organizing and participating in job fairs, career expos, hiring events, etc.
  • Document all Outreach Efforts to comply with AAP reporting in the sourcing and recruiting of administrative and field personnel job applicants within the market.
  • Track and maintain necessary data for compliance with OFCCP and EEO candidate data requirements, as well as to support candidate hiring recommendations, summaries, and debriefs.
  • Assist in the creation of new job descriptions and advertisement requests as needed.
  • Periodically assist with personnel onboarding, to include new hire orientation.
  • Assist with the development of outreach relationships and contacts with Veterans and Minority Organizations and Agencies.
  • Actively engage with Field Operations to identify staffing needs.
  • Ensure that field office advertising, interviewing, hiring, and selection processes are in compliance with the company’s EEO and Affirmative Action policies, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
