To meet the basic qualification for the Global Security Manager opportunity, you must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the role, you will have:
  • A bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive management experience in the security industry with a combination of account administration and operations. The ideal candidate will have experience as an in-house security leader/director in a high tech vertical  Quick question for you - click here
  • Prior successful experience dealing at the highest levels of large customer organizations
  • Prior security-related management experience in a multi-location environment
  • Strong leadership skills and management experience, including personnel and crisis management
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, train and coach employees 
  • Solid computer skills including MS Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and/or Google Suite
  • A military background is a plus, but not required
  • Current relationships with NYC municipalities such as NYPD/NYFD are an advantage
  • Certifications such as the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), International Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification are a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 35% both nationally and internationally. Travel is currently limited due to Covid-19 restrictions but will increase when it's safe again

Reporting to the Vice President, Strategic Account Operations, as Global Security Manager, you will represent G4S Secure Solutions by serving as the primary point of contact for a high profile, New York-based client with global operations. You will be responsible for delivering a global security program, providing direction and leadership for contracted services including guarding, patrol services, and other security solutions, and overseeing all the client's security operations. You will directly manage a team of three Regional Operations Managers responsible for 20+ Site Managers who run large site security teams. While the customer is US-based, overall operations extend throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific regions. Quick question for you - click here

Your high-reaching mission will be to bring the G4S and client teams together so effectively that they are fused at every seam, while still executing on the contract. You'll manage security services from field ops to Secure Integrations to corporate HQ and beyond while understanding the dynamics of the client's business and public life from their production studios to retail, warehouse and office sites. Some of your specific responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting compliance audits to ensure G4S operations are performing in accordance with all contract requirements.
  • Initiating, coordinating and assuming responsibility for benchmarking against best-in-class programs and other G4S international accounts; building and facilitating teamwork and partnerships and the implementation of progressive change.
  • Coordinating and/or performing security threat assessments of client facilities using authorized assessment tools.
  • Implementing monthly and quarterly contractually-agreed key performance indicators to measure and enhance security team effectiveness and performance; ensuring that account administration and tactical effectiveness metrics are at optimum levels.
  • Providing global account management and oversight for the recruitment, selection, orientation, training, development and retention of high caliber staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; providing performance feedback, coaching associates, and ensuring disciplinary actions, as necessary; supporting staff as appropriate in carrying out their respective responsibilities.
  • Managing client safety programs.
  • Providing direct management of Regional Operations Managers, and Site Managers.
  • Coordinating with the client to support special events or emergency coverage.
A good deal of the workload is administrative -- keeping the account up-to-date (daily and weekly activity), meetings, reports, etc., so you must be willing to do hands-on, tactical work along with your higher-level management work. As part of your additional responsibilities, you will:

  • Provide advice and counsel to G4S operations on operational and administrative matters, and procedures, as required, with a view towards standardizing processes, where possible.
