To be a good fit for the District Manager opportunity, you will have:
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Law Enforcement or another relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of management and operations experience in a multi-location business environment. We'll also consider candidates with strong supervisory experience who are ready to step up to the manager level.

To start you will supervise 15 to 20 contracts. This is a hands-on management role, and you will spend a good deal of time in the field, visiting client sites and overseeing operations. Currently, field time will be somewhat restricted, but still necessary. Post-COVID you should expect to be in the field about 80% of the time.

We support clients throughout Oregon as well as in southwest Washington. Overnight travel will be limited. You'll also need to be willing and able to work flexible hours including some nights, weekends and extended hours.

Opportunity Overview

Reporting to the Market Vice President, Northwest, you will work with a Senior District Manager. You'll support contracts with 10 to 15 clients in different industries, including data centers, hospitals, government facilities, private businesses, education and more. These contracts include about 400 employees, and your direct reports will include Site Managers, Supervisors and Leads. Your overall mission will be to help drive sales growth through effective financial planning, strong operational leadership, and increased levels of client satisfaction. Quick question for you - click here

This will include overseeing daily operations (though subordinates), managing client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand accounts, monitoring trends and developing projections, and driving efficiency across your book of business. You'll work in partnership with Sales, HR and Operational Support Services to ensure outstanding service and quality.

Role Details

You will serve as the main point of contact for clients and the field personnel who support their day-to-day security needs. You will oversee site operations, including customer service relations functions and prospecting. Responsibilities will include:
  • Communicating regularly with the human resources team regarding recruitment, training, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Ensuring profitability of all services through sound fiscal management principles, P&L, and efficient budgeting; providing key reports.
  • Managing business and account development by supporting Sales and direct business development activities for your district, including prospecting, visiting clients, delivering presentations, developing RFP responses, contract negotiations, attending sales calls, etc.
  • Ensuring that every member of the team understands and complies with EEOC, wage and hour, and other laws governing employment.
  • Continually remaining informed and aware of staffing requirements through labor forecasting, rates, quality and availability of personnel available to multiple positions.
  • Ensuring quality client services for all clients within your district.
  • Having a proactive approach to client management by maintaining strong client relations and having frequent interactions with clients, effectively managing problems, and continuously working to improve quality and service.
