The Requirements

To meet the basic qualification for this role you must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a strong fit for this Recruiting Manager opportunity, you will have:
  • One or more of the following: 
    - Bachelor’s degree combined with three (3) years of Human Resources and/or Recruiting management/supervisory experience 
    - Associate’s degree combined with five (5) years of Human Resources and/or Recruiting management/supervisory experience

  • 1+ years of experience managing one or more direct reports
  • Experience in high-volume, fast-paced recruiting, such as demand staffing, temporary staffing, healthcare, or security, is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated strength screening and interviewing job candidates

  • Ability to develop talent pools in the markets where you will place candidates

The Role

Opportunity Snapshot
Reporting to the Market VP, you will lead recruiting efforts for the G4S market serving Kentucky and Indiana. Your activities will support a total of four locations in this territory. Currently, we have three full-time recruiters who you’ll manage remotely, who are based out of Lexington, Indianapolis, and Evansville. You’ll complete the hands-on recruiting for the Louisville market.

You will split your time between management and full-cycle recruiting. Additionally, you will set strategy and develop targeted recruiting campaigns including open houses, hiring events, and job fairs, as well as take ownership of our community outreach programs, leveraging what's in place, building relationships in the community, and creating new applicant sources. Your mission will be to develop a robust pipeline and create continuous candidate flow to fill field security and other positions for G4S and our clients throughout the area. Most of the positions will be field security roles, but you could also recruit for mid-level managers, security supervisors and other roles. 

Role Details
You will have the opportunity to develop a strategic approach to recruitment, building and evolving processes and tactical operations to optimize efforts and gain greater results. Active recruiting is always underway. Typically, we are sourcing for between 25 and 50 open roles across the territory, but it is not unusual for us to flex to 60+ open positions. Business can ebb and flow, somewhat, based on the addition of new accounts or special events, but the pace remains fast.

Specifically, you will:
  • Directly supervise a team of recruiters
  • Actively engage with Operations and HR team members to identify staffing needs; monitor health of applicant flow into the Applicant Tracking System and take proactive measures to increase pipeline 
  • Take ownership of the screening, interviewing, sourcing, and recruiting management of supervisors and security personnel job applicants 
  • Track and maintain necessary data for compliance with OFCCP and EEO candidate data requirements 
  • Track and maintain necessary data to support candidate recommendations, summaries and debriefs 
  • Assist in the creation of new job descriptions and advertisement requests 
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System for designated areas as assigned 
  • Periodically assist with personnel onboarding, to include new hire orientation 
  • Actively seek out, organize and participate in job fairs, career expo, hiring events, etc. and document all Outreach Efforts to comply with AAP reporting; develop and maintain outreach relationships and contacts with Disabled, Veteran, Female, and Minority Organizations and Agencies 
  • Oversee the recruiting of security personnel for start-ups for various local and national clients 
  • Approve the purchase of recruiting advertisements (online and in print) and outreach programs within budgetary restrictions 
  • Approve methods for implementing Employee Referral/Bonus Program 
  • Ensure that field office advertising, interviewing, hiring and selection processes are in compliance with the company’s EEO and Affirmative Action policies, and applicable federal, state and local laws 
  • Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses and comparing qualifications to job requirements 
  • Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on a consistent set of qualifications 
  • Cooperate with others in/out of the department to achieve common goals 
  • Selection and placement, career development, performance appraisals for direct reports; recruitment and selection of physical security and administrative roles, as applicable 
  • Purchase of recruiting advertisements (online and in print) and outreach programs within budgetary restrictions 
  • Develop regular reporting and analysis of the effectiveness of recruiting programs; recommend corrective action related to declining recruitment
