To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Business Development Manager opportunity, you will have:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Criminal Justice, Global Security and Intelligence, or another related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales with a proven and measurable track record of exceeding sales goals. Quick question for you - click here
  • A demonstrated ability to influence decision makers, build strategic relationships and shape RFP/sales opportunities.
  • The ability to sell, learn, grasp and retain and apply a variety of system, network and security-related concepts, information and procedures.
  • Comfort using professional online networking tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.

  • Familiarity with the GSOC/RVM market in North America.
You should expect to come into our U.S. headquarters in Jupiter, Florida at least two days per week. Therefore you should live within about an hour's drive, such as in Miami or Fort Lauderdale. We currently have a reduced workforce in the office, and we're following appropriate precautions for the duration of the COVID pandemic.

Once it is safe again to travel, you will travel 10% to 15% of the time, primarily in the U.S. but possibly also to Canada and Mexico. You'll travel for conferences and client presentations. Clients and prospects often visit Jupiter to tour the SROC, and you should be on hand and possibly lead those tours.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Intelligence & Risk Operations Center, you will sell services provided by our CSAA 5-Diamond 24/7/365 certified Security Risk Operations Center (SROC). Operated from G4S’ Americas headquarters in Jupiter, Florida and with a redundant site in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, the SROC centralizes G4S’ key capabilities of intelligence and analytics, global and executive protection, and monitoring and global security operations center as a service (GSOCaaS) to provide a powerful suite of services to protect assets and people 24/7/365.

You will be responsible for the research, prospecting, development, and establishment of business relationships with potential buyers of the SROC (GSOCaaS, remote video monitoring, intelligence, software as a service). You'll lead the sales effort from lead to order, including prospecting, relationship development, understanding pain and gain points for the customer, developing solutions to meet their needs, writing responses to requests for proposal and related activities, preparing and presenting sales presentations, and other functions related to identifying and closing the sale. Quick question for you - click here

More specifically, you will:
  • Prospect, identify, influence and prioritize the top opportunities in the market, carry sales opportunities through from lead to order (close). Build relationships, and generate sufficient sales activity to assure a close.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of customers, competitors and markets. Identify target customers where G4S ROC capabilities represent a fit and where G4S can realize significant value. Develop plans to penetrate target customers; assess demand and technical requirements for new opportunities.
  • Create and implement an effective, proactive growth strategy designed to generate new business opportunities for contract research and product out-licensing in order to achieve the company's revenue goals.
  • Analyze the requirements of formal requests for proposal (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), etc., and lead the sales strategy for the response; and with Senior Director, or Headquarters, develop proposals for all accounts meeting the required deadlines.
  • Attend self-generated sales appointments educating potential customers on the company’s services Maintain database of prospective customers recording contact history and future activities.
  • Plan and prepare PowerPoint presentations for sales calls.
